Beautiful day for hunting metal, sunny and in the high forty's . I went with a larger coil today to see if I could pull something out of my worked area and had a little luck. Top of a bed post and the second leg to something. Five more buttons, one has a little gold gilt and a nice colonial greenie. The hammer was a nice surprise I will have to keep working slowly with the big coil and see if I can find the rest of it. Arty

Yes it is a button. I found two others the same size with the same hand scribed design on the face.
