Thanks for your reply Lucas on the pin.. I am an amatuer at ID ing trade -era artifacts and want to learn more about this type of searching..Ive found some items that are trade-era I believe Clay pipes ..spanish silver..flintlock parts in sites that date from the 1830s ..and I live near a large river that had to be used by early trappers /Indians for travel fishing hunting..Are there any books or sites which would be good for a beginner to study / learn about the details of this facet of searching? Thanks in advance... Good hunting all
