Wow that's a cool find just that piece is great. I think I would be moving lots of dirt around seeing if there was more.Either way that piece is sweet good job!!!!!

Yeah it was really deep too so I cant help thinking there was more of it to far down for me to detect.

I would have been scratching my head to figure out what that was.

It was a mystery. I recognized the carving style from muskets I'd seen, and I saw that it took a screw so that lead me down the right path.
