Have been going through some of the points I have collected. We were looking at this and trying to figure out what this one could be. This came from a trade show in Northwest Arkansas.

It appears to be fluted on one side, but also looks like there may have been a flute ending right where it is broken on the other side.

Does these look like flutes? If so, any ideas on what type? The shape didn't seem right to me to be a Clovis, but then looking at some there do appear to be plenty that are more pointed like the shape of this tip.

Thanks for looking, and any input you want to share.

I’m having a hard time sorting that one out, i definitely think it was broken but, was it fluted both sides and the one side the flute was shorter…. There’s maybe a hinge right at the base… on the other side in one pic it looks like someone tried to rework it… going Clovis type to a triangle seems odd, maybe the flute is just a thinning strike and it’s much younger… it’s a fun one to ponder.

It is for sure broken on the base, no doubt there. I'm pretty convinced it was fluted on both sides. Obviously easier to hold it in your hand and look at it versus looking at a screen. It is a cool one for sure, interesting material and lots of possibilities on what it could have been. Thanks for the replies. :)
