Had an awesome day hunted two old homesites that are now fields the only coin find was this 1858 flying eagle cent that is in what i think remarkable shape it was 4 inches down and then i also found this pendant thing looks like it had a stone in middle at some point . The sun was out and day was warm so i will take a 3 hour walk for a penny like this one

Wow that FE is in great shape. I have only found one and it is pretty crusty, congrats.

That FE is a stunner. I got my first two this past week and I thought they were in good condition

Yep, one of the greats! Welcome to the club!

You should win an award for the most beautifully patinated flying eagle ever found. Its gorgeous.

Congratulations on the Flying Eagle! :occasion14:

I love the old copper coins.

Too funny I also found a 1858 flying eagle today on an old farm filed. Going to post later or tomorrow when I have more time. What did you use to clean yours?

Congrats on the sweet FE cent! That's in as good a condition as any I've ever seen posted here...
