I have a brand new Teknetics G2 coming in this week thanks to a great deal from Mike at Woodland Detectors. Cant wait to use it. However, I am on a 9 week long assignment and traveling from city to city. Im mostly on the east coast and have free time in the evenings and weekends. Im flying and have a rental car with unlimited miles so I have the perfect opportunity to try detecting some new places if Im able to get some permission.

Looking for some advice on taking the G2 on the plane with me. Ive thought about getting some type of hard case for it and checking it if it wont cost too much. Something like a golf bag or preferably something smaller.

Any one have any suggestions?

Congrats on you new machine. Mike is a friend of mine and he is a great dealer. I use a hard case I got from White's that I take on trips with me as it fits in the overheads and I can take as a carry on. Most machines will fit in it. It is foam padded and works great. You also can use a hard suitcase or any case that is hard cased.

Always checked this luggage, Maybe 20 times to Florida..No problems ...couple towels or a few more cloths over this and she is ready.......

Thanks for the input! Looks like I just need to find a suitcase it will fit into and check it.

if it was me i would buy a pelican case they are the best on the market..they come in all sizes just find one you like, and you will not have to worry at all about it getting beat up in one of these cases...good luck on your adventures
