Folsom Prison: Hidden behind pristine hills

I live in Folsom, near the prison, but the jail is hardly visible at all.
It sits behind hundreds of acres of untouched land and hills, so you
cannot see it from the road.

The real-estate fellow assured us that if there ever is a jailbreak,
the inmates never stay in the same town, so we are safe.

One of the BeeGees (Barry Gibb) bought Johnny Cash's house in Tennessee
last year. He was about to move in, but the old Cash house caught fire.

The house burned down and was a total loss.
One fireman was injured. He later told reporters he tripped
while fighting the fire.

I mentioned in another post that I rubbed elbows with Johnny Cash but I didn't mention what I thought of him. He was a great man , and although he had a drinking problem at the time he was a pleasure to be around. He did his job, and I don't know how but it was like he went into automatic control and did those songs that I liked to hear, and never missed a beat of Luther's guitar. When he went on stage, unless you knew him, you would think he was sober.

He got married and wow.
June Carter was his life, she was his iron lung, because he love that woman more than can be imagined. That is what a marriage should be like for everyone.

Johnny Cash was inspired to write that song while pretty well drunk, staring at a firepit in a roadside bar above Ojai Ca called The Wheel. I'm told...
Not a clue if its still there, but was a popular motorcycle stop for years.
