There are a couple more double dies you might want to keep an eye out for, 1973D and 1977D. The same letters are double as the 1974D, the RUS in TRUST. Over the years I have found about 150 of the 1974D double dies, but have only found 1 1977D and 2 1973D. If you look for them you will have to look a little more carefully, as the doubling is not quite as strong. I will post pics if I can figure out how to enlarge the date.

Images would be great. I have found 64-D DDO's but have not yet found a 74-D or any other variety. Were abouts are you finding 150 74-D DDO? Is it possible that they were not released in California. I know there are different versions of the 64-D DDO but I have a hard time telling them apart.

I am in the Dallas Fort Worth area. We get mostly Denver mint coins here.

How obviuos is the double die? Can it be seen with the naked eye or do you need a magnifying glass? I don;t think I have ever seen one, but I may be missing them.

You have to have a magnifying glass. It is too small to be seen with the naked eye.

I will post pics if I can figure out how to enlarge the date.

I use Gimp as my picture manipulation tool, but I always have to make my pictures smaller just to display them. I mainly just use the Crop/Resize and Scale features.

Are they worth looking for?
It seems like the 74 D's are so common that they don't bring much of a premium - if any at all.

Really not sure what kind of a premium they might bring. Just for grins I am going to put a roll of my 74D double dies on ebay to see what they might bring. I will set a minimum of face value so that way I will not lose anything other than what ebay charges if they don't do much.

Forgot to note, I will keep a roll of the best ones for myself, just for grins.
