I found this token yesterday at a fairly new homesite(1940s). The internet didn't give me much info. I found a couple mentions of this token but they didn't give any info to speak of. Any Ford buffs know anything about this one?

The front has the busts of Henry Ford, Edsel Ford, and Henry Ford II and has their names listed at the bottom. The back says "50 Years Forward On The American Road 1903-1953 Ford Motor Company". It appears to have had a gold colored plating at one time.

Thanks in advance, DKW

It was the company logo and slogan....still searching old newspapers for more details.

The second article is a small part of a full page history ad of the Ford Motor Co...I believe what you found may have been for the 50th Anniversary...still searching for more...

This link talks about other brass coins from FORD... http://www.efv8.org/site/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=35

This coin you found could have been something that was given to the customer when they visited a showroom during the 50th year anniversary, as the one from 1934 states in this above link..still looking...

Based on what donny_n_mo posted (the link).... did some more searching....

Here's a link about a 100th coin to have been printed.... I would contact the Ford Motor Company. They could give you more information on this coin you found!
