I was in this small town about 20 minutes from where I work a few weeks back and didn't make it to this bank before they closed at 4:00. I had forgotten all about this bank until today.
Today I went back at noon and asked for rolls of halves which they said they had some. I asked the lady how many she had and her reply was how many do you want. I told her I would buy all that she had which she replied she had $2000 worth!! Oops....let me she how much cash I have....lol. We both laughed as I started pulling out money. I had $800 so I bought 80 rolls. I will be back tomorrow the buy the balance but I didn't tell her that because I didn't want any of the tellers to get suspicious about my intentions. As I was walking out one teller said to come back to get the balance so they would not have to count them in the vault everyday.....my very thought....hehehe.
Also check out the old wrapper from these rolls. I don't know how old it is but it looks really old although it held no silver. Anyway, here are the totals.
