Did a little hike into an old site above Tahoe. First time I’ve been here. It has some interesting ruins. The stones in this fireplace were massive. Would have loved seeing this site in pristine condition. 61B23E3E-704B-461D-98BC-991DBB5D5629.webpC48C81B6-46D2-44CD-B1EC-D05B91697068.webp506B92F6-1655-4091-AD7B-72BE2E19105B.webp

Yeah living in a heavy forest can have consequences. Seen a few burned out dwellings such as that from previous forest fires.

Nice pics. Bet it would be a good place to metal detect.

All I found was clad. Need to take a smaller coil to pick through the nail bed.

I gotta cheap Bounty Hunter IV, I keep forgetting to toss in the truck when I hit the highway. I do once in a while look for stone artifacts in promising looking areas when time permits.

Must have been a wonderful place back in the day!

Cool pics. Could that be the remains of the Ponderosa, haha!
