EyeBalled This At A Construction Site Yesterday, We Have Very Few Stones Here On The Coast And Most Of The Fossels That I Have Found Were Sharks Teeth And They Are Black In Color. This Was Found About Ten Miles Inland. It Is About 2 Inches In Length And Sure Looks Like A Tooth To Me. If There Are Any Paleontologists Out There I Would Like To Know What It Is, Thanks. trk5capt...

I hope the next post is more productive, but I thought EXACTLY the same thing as Monty. I do hope it is much more than that! :) -Ben

I wasn't trying to be funny, That's just the first thing that popped into my mind. A tooth would have some kind of indication of roots or socket wouldn't it? A Sugar Baby would only be about a half inch long however. I have seen a lot of rocks along the Arkansas River sandbar that looked much the same as this object. They are worn down and smoothed by the action of the water moving them along. Monty
