Thought I'd ask you smart people your opinion on these. They look like fossilized bones to me.

Also, what are some good online resources to help with identification?

To determine whether or not they are bones, show us good close-ups of the cross-sections at the breaks.

OK - I updated the original post to include two closeups of the rust colored one.
