I found a few of these at the beach this weekend.
Any thoughts?
I’ve posted pictures of two of them.

They could be. Can't tell from the pictures. Coastal SC was under a shallow sea from about 30 mil. years ago until 4 million years ago. The Fall Line that cuts across the state, near Columbia, was the old shoreline. A lot of fossils have been eroding out of those sediments for a long time. Some of the fossils of bone and other fossilized body parts one finds on the beach, or in the creeks and rivers, and sometimes on land, when acreage is cleared for development, are the remains of some shark's lunch. As this 20, 30, 40 foot long shark chewed up a manatee, or whale or dolphin, the bones got chewed up too, then went through digestion, and settled to the ocean floor. Many such chewed and pooped out bones are found, but hard to identify.

The first one is bone, 100%. The second piece is not clear enough on my end. Looks like basalt, but better images would help
