Fossil spine?

I was looking at this nodule of flint from KY and noticed a fossil on the surface. I used a diamond file to expose it. It looks like a spine of some sort. Any ideas what it is?

Looks like a Sting Ray spine, (stinger).

That was my first thought, but never seeing the stinger of a sting ray fossil before I really don't know what it is.

Possibly a rib bone.

It’s about 1.5”.

That's about right for a claw I would think. Though that's just a guess.
