Super finds and Great example of how hard that knot in the wood is compared to the surrounding material.
 

That knotty wood would be called a "fat lightered knot" down south. A conifer's remains that is excellent kindling--full of flammable, hardened resin.

What a good day you had. I hit 15 miles of river into Alabama yesterday and all I found were foot prints. I can probably find what they found posted on e-bay today.Like the driftwood I always bring some of that back. Makes you wonder how many miles and years it traveled.
Nice nutting stone. Any cups on the back?
 

Yeah I have found a lot of geodes in ohio! One of the nutting stones have cups on the back!
