My kids and I were walking to the grocery store recently to buy the usual stuff (milk, eggs...). They are 5 & 7 and were on me to stop at the mini mart for Slurpees on the way home. I told them I only had money for the groceries - not Slurpees. Of course they were disappointed.
As we crossed the busy street near the shopping center, I found a neatly folded $20 laying by the curb.
Needless to say, we all had Slurpees on the way home as well as a few bucks left for the "mad money jar".
