Hey everyone!
Got out for a few hours this morning. Started at an old parking lot where my brother and I found a buffalo nickel and a couple wheat pennies years ago. After an hour+ I didn't find much of anything.
I decided I would go ask permission at a yard my brother visited years ago. I don't know exactly what he found in this specific yard, but I know he found some Barber Dimes and V Nickels in this general area.
Here's a photo of the yard:

They said sure so I got to it. First signal is a quarter 5 inches down. "Wow!" I'm thinking to myself. "Could my brother have missed a silver quarter?" I pop it out of the ground, 1965. F%#*! [emoji23] This is my 3rd 1965 Quarter in the last two days!
Kept it for about and hour and a half and decided to dig anything iffy. Probably ended up with 20+ nails but I was rewarded with a few keepers as well. I left most of the stuff I found with the family at the house and just kept the three wheat pennies.
Here were my top finds:
3 Wheaties (45, 52-S, 53-S)

A spoon that says "1847 Rogers" on the back. Looks like it was silver plated. The family was so excited about this, I was glad I could give it to them.

This copper tag from the Grand Canyon.

All in all, a nice outing and fun to pull a few keepers. The owner told me about a friend who is renovating their 1907 farmhouse a couple miles away so it looks like I'll need to be seeing them! Also, the neighbor two houses down from where I was today said he remembered my brother and I was welcome to come see if there's anything left. Looks like I've got my work cut out for me this week.
Thanks for reading and luck in the hunt folks!
