High school class ring, 1966. Her name is Jane M Fitzgerald. The high school informed me that she has passed away. I was thinking about trying to find her family. :dontknow:

I LOST MINE IN 1967, CAN U GO TO SPRINGFIELD, MASS. AND TAKE A LOOK AROUND?

She may have had a family and children who would like to have it. Maybe you could find them? Monty

Good luck in finding her family. I'm sure they would appreciate your efforts. Ron

Great find congrats, hope you find the family I'm sure they would be glad to have it to remember her by.

Get back in touch with the high school...someone had contacted them of her being deceased, maybe they can help with the name of the person who did the contacting. If it's a small town, backtrack to the obits in newspapers, or contact the funeral home. I know that Fitzgerald was her maiden name, try and find the married name some kind of way. Good luck!!

Sent you a PM!

 RR

I found the ring in mass by the way, so its Arlington High School in mass. Thanks for the comments. The New England Historical Geniological society will have the info, but I don't want to spend the 75 bucks for a year membership for one ring. :-[

Yeah , it's a class ring alright - nice one - and you are a class act for making an effort to return
it ! Thank You ! This gives our pastime a lift in the public eye . Argentium.

Thanks all. I will call the school back and ask how they found out about her death. Great idea River Rat. :icon_thumleft:

Don"t give up finding the family of her ring . I found the owner of the class ring I posted here just a couple of weeks ago. He was so happy I found it and couldn"t believe he got it back. I"m sure her family would like a keepsake, good luck and HH Boo :)

Good for you boo. :icon_thumleft:
I also believe its more rewarding giving it back than keeping it.

I think I saw yours in the pawn shop on Worthington St. around that time. You didn't pawn it and give the money to one of those "naughty" girls a couple streets over did you ? :coffee2:
