my wife wanted to get into geocaching as a hobby and since I did it a little, before my true hobby called...metal detecting...I figured I would take her out to a couple of places near us. Well I saw one that through the description that others had posted mentioned to be careful because there was lots of bottles and broken glass back by the geocache. Well yesterday me and the mrs. decided to give this one a try and I am glad we did! We didn;t find the cache, but that is a good reason to go back because I couldn't grab all the bottles that are back there! Plenty of broken pieces of pottery and oyster shells and broken bottle but some are completely whole! The bottles seem to be from the early 1900's I figure based on soem of the company names on them. The pic shows just the amount I could carry and walk back to the truck. WIll go back with a couple of 5 gallon pails to grab some more. Even if they aren;t worth a lot, they are a piece of history and maybe my kids would like to become bottle collectors. The smallest bottle in the pic is a Listerine bottle and has Lambert Pharmacal Company on it also.

also did some detecting at another site but only found 1 harmonica reed. have to hit that spot again also.
