Found a bottle dump

Found a bottle dump a couple days ago. How do I know what bottles are worth picking up and what ones to leave? What are the privys that are mentioned on other posts?

Privy's are old outhouses - people use to throw houshold items like bottles and dishes down the hole . You never know what you'll find in a privy .
