Found a Christmas Bell this morning

Finally had a chance to go out and hunt a sidewalk strip near my house and found this bell.



It says Merry Christmas in German.

It was a sketchy sounding tone, bouncing back and forth and I almost didn't dig it. It looks old and seems to be made of brass.

I also found $1.04 in clad.

That is a gorgeous bell and I agree it looks quite old. I like to think how things get where they're found. Perhaps this was missed taking the decorations off the Christmas tree and fell off when the tree was put at the curb for the garbage truck.
