Found a couple more flakes

I found a black piece of flint on a dirt road on my land, now I found 2 more flakes from the same material within 50 yards, down the hill, nearing a creek bottom.
I want to take my plow and turn up the field there and see if I can't find some points.

I found this small one a few days ago:



Then down the hill a little I found this:



And you can see the ripples on the backside:

That's good quality hornstone. You probably have a creek near you that is full of flint nodules. Find the source, learn to knap, and sell the stuff for $3 or $4 per lb. It's possible. Gary

Took me a long time picking up flakes before I found a point, never hurts to do it, one of these times you’ll reach for a flake and a nice point will slide out. Also shows you’re on the right track follow the flakes.
