...than most for buying 40%ers. He said if I brought in a bunch, he'd pay $1.75 each for them, in any condition. He sells them for $2.00 each, but does a great deal of business in them, so he'll gladly pay that much.
I bought a B.U. Walker from him yesterday at $5.50, and a B.U. '68 Kennedy for $2.00, along with a couple 1913-D wheats ($1.50 each) for my son's book and mine, and he threw in 5 plastic coin tubes for free.
He was selling pre-60 nicks for .10 each, first time I'd seen them there. He must of had 400 Walkers, many B.U. and A.U., all for the same price.
While he was dealing with me, some guy called to inquire about Morgans, he had 65 or so. The guy told him he'd pay whatever he had them for and put them aside. He also had him do the same for all the Kennedy 90%.
I did notice the price of the wheat cents had gone up about 7X what they had been. And he said he was selling out on those as well. The circulated wheats in the teens were .40 cents each, a couple months ago when I picked some up for a friend on here, I think they were 6 or 7 cents each. Wow. He said the state quarter program and the new presidential dollars made tons of coin collectors now.
