Found a gold diamond ring today!!

Looks good but has no other markings but e.l.f. there is also a very small 28 carved into the ring what do you all think?

Good find. It looks pretty rough for gold but maybe that’s the lighting [emoji848]. Plated maybe? Either way, a ring is a ring and you are on the right track.

Yea it does look pretty rough I though maybe brass at first but the diamond came out looking pristine. It only has a line of tarnishing on it kinda reddish brown but it scratches off with my fingernail to reveal gold underneath. Still unsure what it could be maybe a low carat gold but i figured it would be green somewhere if it was brass.

Congratulations on the nice ring. You might want to get the stone checked. I have found a number of gold rings (marked and tested positive for gold, 10k, 14k and even 18k) that had nice looking czs in them. Even some with fake emeralds and rubies. So you can’t be sure until you check. I hope it is a diamond. Good luck and keep swingin.

Looks very old, before 1906 ...No fineness mark was required before then, ...... it's a belcher mount. Very popular during the late 1800's. My guess the ring is possibly 10k gold, being belcher mount my guess the stone is a miner cut..possible diamond. Worth having all confirmed at the jeweler.

Here is one of my favorite Belcher mounted from last year..
