I went out in early November (without Mastereagle :icon_pirat:) and scored a few interesting things. He is always welcome to hunt with me, but he was home taking care of his kids while his wife worked. I didn't show these things to him, because he always gets soo upset. He pinches the bridge of his nose to ward off the tears streaming down his cheek. Heck...last time I stopped by on a weekend, I interrupted him baking cookies for his family. As he wiped the tears in his eyes with his rooster print apron, the smoke alarm went off signaling dinner was done. He invited me to stay...but I had to go have a tooth extracted or something. ::)

Anywaaaay.....I digress. I absolutely LOVE the little water gun. It was in amongst tree roots in the front yard of a house at a depth of about 6 inches. Obviously, the prior homeowners had kids. If anyone can ID this little watergun...I would love to know more about the age and maker.

Thanks all.

I agree.Whats left of the blade is a rusted clump.Cool finds!!

Awesome little gun you found! Let us know if you get any details about it. HH, Mike

That thing you are holding in your hand looks like the breech to a .22 rifle. Notice the feed ramp. Monty

That gun is so cool. I would definitely stick with what I told you it is a pre 30's water gun with the rubber bulb missing but I cannot find a picture to one just like it.

Good hunt there buddy!

Hey BB as always love the history (AHEM) of the hunt ! I really like the wter gun! But I think the whatsit is off the end of a water sprinkler it looks like the end off my grandfathers so that would make it from at least the 1920's.

The end of a water sprinkler from the 20's would be cool. I hope it is something like that. It sure is made really well! Thanks MG!!
