Stopped by one of my top secret dump locations today and scrounged around for a few minutes. Found a nice pile of junk and spotted this dish among all of it. Turned it over and saw "Alvin" stamped on it. I knew immediately that I had something special - Alvin is a very pricey Sterling manufacturer that I've run into before a few time. Rubbed away some of the tarnish on the back and revealed the sterling stamp just as I had predicted! Polished it all up once I got home and put it on the scale - 90.6 grams of 92.5% silver! Oh yea!

The dish has the letter "D" etched into the center. There were likely a few of these dishes scattered around as they normally come in sets, but unfortunately despite my efforts I was only able to find one, it was probably the only one out there.
