I'm usually pretty good at IDing buttons, but this is toughie for me. It's a brass (or maybe gold gilt) button with an iron back. There's no design on the front and the back is too toasted to get anything from it. It measures 1 1/8" in diameter and about 3/8" high. Any help as to roughly how old it is would be appreciated.

Iron back = new button.

Someone correct me if I am off base, but iron back usually means twentieth century commercial button.

Best of luck to you sir!

Congrats on your find, I think Carolina Tom is right.

Thanks for the help! Guess they can't all be winners! LOL.

If you had fun hunting, then you were successful!
