Found a load of pyrite dust..

I was told that gold runs with pyrite..this pyrite was found in soil i ran it through my custom made sluice to clean it up
Somewhat then roasted a sample with map gas and put another sample in hydrochloric acid..then tried to melt both with a borax flux...and nothing...im trying to find the best way to seperate or extract whatever gold there...any suggestions

That's kind of like saying gold runs with quartz...and you found a bunch of quartz...
