frame is iron, trigger guard is brass

Great Save and Find of the revolver frame. She'll look great once it's been cleaned a bit and placed in your display case. Look long and hard in the vicinity where this was found for other parts such as the cylinder and barrel. Best of luck to you.

Would try and carefully to get that cleaned and seeing if you can retrieve any marking(s) on it to get an idea onbthe maker

If it's a Colt...should have the serial number on the brass trigger guard....mine did....Great find!!!
