Found a ring yesterday and it looks and feels flimsy but it does have some kind of marking on the bottom. Reminds of an old art deco ring. Anyway its probably nothing, but I've never seen a band like this tho, and would love to know an estimate age. I cant make out what the letters say. The only thing I could come up with is that it kind of looks like its trying to say sterling... Probably not, but I figured I would post it here and let the experienced folks see it.....

The letters say "STERLING".

Sweet, I was kind of hoping it said sterling. It seemed that way to me, but it looks a little sloppy or something.....or just old.

Often seen like this on rings or other items that have "little room" to place the stamp.

btw.. tis somehwta old...

IMO 1920's - 30's.

Nice little silver ring!
