Found an 1803 draped bust LC and it's actually in decent condition! Shocking!
I was following a stone wall in the woods today and came upon a wide opening in the wall. Got a really good signal 3 feet from the wall opening. I dug about 5 inches down and spotted a large copper coin! I could see that the bust was facing right, but couldn't quite read the date.
Took the copper home and cleaned it up with mineral oil. It ended up being my second 1803 draped bust LC! My first one was toasted, but this one is in nice shape, especially the bust side. It's about time I dug a decent looking copper!
