Had a two hour hunt today and found a couple of nice relics. The lamp is not in the greatest shape but I'll take it. The plates state seal in the upper lefthand corner is hard to see but it's their. I hope I can find some good relics tomarrow. What a day. :)
Thank's for lookin.

I guess the absence of air, preserved the items.

Nice finds :icon_thumleft:. That looks like thew lamp will clean up well. Another piece of history saved :icon_thumright:.

The lamp is especially cool! What a surprise to find something like that. Nice job! :icon_thumright:

Very cool awsome finds. What a wonderful feeling you get finding oldies like that.
:hello: HH in 2010 :hello2:

Very cool finds! The lamp is of the same era as the plate. Are there any markings on the lamp to indicate manufacturer? Ford Model T is the first to come to mind.

Great license plate! I dug up a 1913 a couple years ago, still in amazing shape. It's still one of my favorite finds ever.

Those are some very cool finds, but kinda curious on how your able to detect and dig in Michigan this time of year? Is'nt it froze and buried in snow? ???

Thank's for the comments everyone. The lamp is in pretty rough shape but I'm still happy to have it. The top is made out of some type of pot metal and is going to take a while to clean it so I won't know for a while if there's any markings on it. I have it in water right now to keep the black material on the metal from hardening up until I get it cleaned up. What you can't see on the plate is the Michigan state seal that's above the MICH. You can just make it out, but the red paint is like new. :icon_scratch: I guess the red paint holds up better than the blue. I have found a lot of relics in the river and with the lack of air it keeps them in pretty good shape.
Thank's
