Any more information about the area where you found it?
North west Missouri in the Missouri River . It’s amazing as beat around so much is still has traces of red on it .
Just couldn’t find anything resembling it online.

Very well could have been a trade pipe or early settlers. Somewhere on here is a picture of the pipes that several company's made.Surprised like you that any paint remains.

The paint makes me think not Relly that old since it was found in river mud which would certainly work on any paint. But I am not a mud expert.
