Detecting in the woods today and stumbled upon an early 1900's camp site. Full of horseshoes and iron relics, as well as shotgun shells on top of it all. Got a 75 signal and just assumed it was another shotgun shell. Wrong! As soon as a spotted it, I knew I had found my second 1904 Teddy Roosevelt watch fob. I found my first one in early 2017. It's brass and in better condition than my first fob. I've only found two political relics in 5 years of detecting and I get a duplicate! I guess Teddy was very popular in my town!
Also set my personal record for horseshoes with five and dug up a horse bit as well. Had to quit after an hour due to the heat and humidity, but I'll be back there tomorrow to see what else I can dig up.
