Found another first for me. I call her Large Marge!

Got a new permission the other day. Finally had a break in my busy schedule and trucked on over to the yard. I began by hitting the curb strip and wasn't disappointed!
It came up on the AT Pro as a solid 90-91 at around 4 inches. Dug the plug and out popped a big coin-shaped disk. Rubbed off enough dirt to see the One Cent on the reverse...and I was super stoked! My first Large Cent!! After a little more cleaning I could make out an 1853 with the slanted 5.
A little later, I plucked a 1942 Merc and a few Wheaties!

The Walker was found a couple weeks ago but threw her in just 'cause.

Nice! And congrats..I have to ask though, all of my Largies rang up in the quarter range on my ATP...around 84-86...did you re-check your plug? There might have been a surprise silver hiding in there! 90-91 screams large silver...Way to go on your finds...now get back there and retrieve your silver! Lol...ddf

Yeah, I thought that was weird too. I did check the hole afterwards and didn't have anything else indicating. Went back with my son and he found a few Wheaties and his first silver dime (46 Rosie). I think he was hooked after finding it!

Congrats on your first LC. Quite shocking to see your first big copper come out of the hole.

I was so shocked when I dug my first, I collected my gear, and just went home!
