I found this underneath a tree root. 16 inches - stake of some kind?

Your first relic looks to be part of a wood burning stove grate, likely the inside base where the wood burned.
The second item is probably plow related hardware, it may also be structural building related hardware. :dontknow:
These are often found where a building may have burned down.

Bolts like this are tough to I.D. but they're frequently found on most early farm sites.
