I have the answer for what I think it is and also what Dickey and Tom Davis think it is. What's your guesses everybody?

I don't have a clue on the type, but it's definitely a cool looking little point.

I'd say Rankin because the ears extend past the base, my second guess would be Wade. Great little symmetrical piece.

hmmmmm, Dickey and Davis say Garth Slough.

I've never seen a Garth Slough with shoulders and ears like that. Most examples I've seen have straight shoulders and slight barbs. I'm not contesting their opinion, they know alot more than me and get paid for their opinions.

I agree, I have never seen a Garth Slough look like this either. This is the reason I posted it on here to get other opinions. I agree with some of the characteristics of a Rankin, but most Rankins I have seen are much longer and slimmer.

interesting and nice looking point.dont have a clue on the type but it could possibly be a heavily sharpened down lost lake or kirk???thx for the look

I concur. I don't see Garth Slough although I can see why they might say so; but overall it just seems too 'bold' to be a Garth Slough. I'd say an early-middle woodland type like a Wade but they're more basal notched and this one is corner notched...
Well I did find in Overstreet a pic of a Garth Slough that looks very similar to this one. Also it is hard to tell from the pics but the flaking is definitely Archaic.

Neat little point...Unique form! NICE!
