Found Civil War bullet and melted bullet -- What next?

In separate spots but near each other, I found these two bullets - one unfired and one that looks melted.

The unfired bullet was found in a little wooded area in my back yard, near this sizable piece of tin wrapped around the root system of a large tree, while the melted one surfaced a little way down in a small valley, near the trunk of a large tree that was uprooted by a recent storm.

First thought with the melted bullet is that a campfire must be nearby. If so, what else should I be looking for?

Any thoughts on a strategy here and what should be done next?

For now, you want to dig all metals. Look for iron concentrations. The melted lead either had to have come from a camp fire or alternately, a burned down home, probably a campfire. Mark all good keeper targets as you get them. Grid the area carefully.

Your previous comment about a possible burned down house is intriguing given a few characteristics of the area where the melted bullet was found. Do you know what I should look for to identify such a structure?

Walk vverrrrryy slowly. Even if you watch people on youtube, even the best of them "miss" a lot of area between coil swings. We all do. When you in the middle of a "normal" swing, look down at where the coil is going and tighten up the swing some. It's amazing how much we miss that way.

Follow-up question

I'm curious if this concrete signals anything to you? It is close to what appears to be a concrete wall sticking out of the ground (covered by old roofing shingles, the stream where I found the buckle, and also dug the melted lead from near an uprooted tree.

All the farm-related iron I keep finding seems relevant here.

Also, I looked at a series of aerial maps from the past 100 years, and each one showed this exact spot as bare while completely surrounded by forest. Only in the past 10 years or so, trees have started to fill in the area.
