Went to a spot I thought might be a camp site and turned out to be right.Didn't find a whole lot,but I was very pleased with the finds.Found my very first dropped .58 caliber i was so happy and no one to show it to but the good lord a few cows and an ole bluetick hound.looks like it has maybe a 55 or us in it,hard to make out.Tried to get a pic of the inside but couldn't figure out the camera to get a good shot. Also found a couple buckles and a squeeze box reed and a few unknowns. Thanks for looking.

Great finds lad, u also might try down at Pungo Ridge...this is a great time of year, (since not so overgrown) to find items there. May of 1863 they had a day an half pitched battle between the "Pungo Raiders" (a detatchment of General Longstreets' men who used to interdict Union supply trains), have found .557's .58's and buttons of both armies....two belt buckles (both Union) and my best, a trigger mech from an 1861 Springfield. (only found the trigger mech nothing else) but due to growth and somewhat swampie conditions, searching there is extremely seasonal. By the way, very little trash, so good luck to all.
