Found in Union Trench. Any guesses?

I thought the larger item was a hinge, but it's solid. Long shot, but I thought I'd ask. Especially coming from a trench.

It looks like the section of an iron pail to which the bale was attached.

The largest item almost looks like a key like device to tighten something with.
