hey guys i got out for a bit today and found some remains of a native village (mescal pits), ollas (clay pots) and some metates (grinding stones). pretty cool for a couple hours of adventuring. the wash i found the olla pieces in i renamed olla wash for my own notes it was full of them i collected nearly 50 pieces on the top of the soil within 30 ft. and found a large piece near a rock 20ft away i got curious and thought there might be metates near by and low and behold a minute or so later i found two up on a rock outcropping. (i am certain that these metates are not very well know they are hidden quite well) after this i was going to follow a road cut up a different wash but i spotted what i came looking for the in the first place a homestead or whats left of the rock walls they used before abandoning the place in the early 1900s. all in all a good day out in the field finding cool stuff.
