nice find congrats HH

Wow, what a great quarter! Nice find!

The barber coins are sweet and it looks like you got a nice one in good condition. Congrats! Plus...seeing that "18" instead of the "19" is priceless.

That's in such great shape congrats on the find!

Great coin , Strong VF I should think ! I've only found Barber dimes - and no 1800's silver yet .

Nice! I would agree with very fine. Go back to that spot and grid it off, then hit it in a difernt direction.

Great find testing123! Can you tell us a litte about the site (park, private home, ect)? Thanks and HH!

not too often they are found with full Liberty on the headband. that is beautiful :icon_thumright:

That's one nice looking Barber. Most come out of the ground a lot smoother looking than yours.

Thanks everyone! It was found at a park that was new to me. The problem is there are bottle caps and zincolns/copper lincolns everywhere, seems like two to four every swing. It'll probably take 10 trips to make a dent in all the junk. It's actually kind of de-motivating thinking about all that junk, but there could be more good stuff there. In fact, after the quarter was extracted, I scanned the plug after I put it back, and the detector nulled. So, I'm thinking the winter may have shifted the quarter enough away from the iron to be picked up. Probably why other detectorists missed it in the past.

That's a beauty!

Solid VF+ (details). A little less wear on the tips of the wings on the reverse and it would grade XF (details)
