What I saw & found yesterday. Belemnitella fossil & some more exogyra [oyster] fossils. The exogyra I'm finding are all different sizes. I've been picking out the smaller one's yesterday because I didn't bring my backpack. The land around the swamp is being cleared for a residential housing development and all the finds are surface finds.

Cool finds. The belemnite rostra will likely be Belemnitella americana. They’re common finds in the C&D Canal and typically Late Cretaceous from around 70 million years ago. They’re also Delaware’s official “State Fossil”.
