Found my 25th & 26th IH this year, an old wheat and an 18k gold ring?

Hello all, I got out with my dad this afternoon for a few hours. We went back to a spot that we have pounded this year, but it is still producing. Today I found two IH's in one hole, an 1884 and a 1906. I also found a wheatie, 1911. Then the ring came out of the ground. It is a man's ring. It says 18kt on the inside and also has the initials H.G.F. I have never seen this before. My dad found an IH, 1893. Thanks for looking. Does anyone know how old the ring is? I was just wondering if it dates the same as the coins we have found there, which is 1880's to 1915. Oh yeah the pics are after a hot peroxide bath.

Nice find on the ring. That is actually H.G.E High Gold Electroplated, or otherwise known as cotume jewelry.

Thanks Spartacus. I kinda thought that, the color wasn't quite right as the other gold rings I have found. Any idea on how old?

Not sure when they started to hallmark rings like that. My guess would be mid 20's to early 50's...Maybe...But that is a mere guess. Nice Injuns BTW....Congrats...jgas
