I have been at this about 5 months mostly hitting schools and playgrounds. Up until today I had found 1 1964 Rosie, a few wheats with the oldest being 1944 and 1 Buffalo nickel that I couldn't read the date.

Today I went to a friends house where I found the Rosie and only found 1 coin. A 1928 S Merc. It's fairly worn and has something on it that doesn't want to wash off. Even with only 1 coin found today, it was a good hunt.

Great find BladeRunner! Thanks for sharing...

It's not a key date, rub it with baking soda and a little water between your fingers and it should polish up real nice.

I tried the hot water, tin foil and baking soda trick and it came out pretty good!

nice merc. congrats!
