1855 Large Cent found on the property of a 1908 Castle. Yep I mean Castle. Pointdler and I hunted a private residence yesterday that would sell for $5,000,000 even in todays housing market. I also found a 1961 Quarter, not to mention a 1963 Quarter at the Speedway station earlier in the day. I soaked the copper in peroxide for about an hour and it seemed to clean it up a bit.

 Congrats on the large cent, I had to work the last two warm days, and now I'm off for two cold days, Go Figure.

i love large cents . and it still gets me how they lost such a large and heavy coin ........

Really nice Large Cent. I wouldn't clean it up anymore than what you have. Red book from 2000,
rates it at $11 in good condition. I'm sure in 2009 it is worth more than that.

Hi Lostlake88,
Congrats on the big penny. Bet I know where that came from. Should be a real decent place for you to hunt. I do personally know a couple of the knights if it's the same place I know of. Best of luck at the castle!
