Went through 4 boxes today, here are the finds. This is the first error coin I have snagged out of circulation. Looked it up and it seems they fetch from $10-$60, quite a range. Might take this into the local shop and see if they will trade 90% silver for it.

A very nice example of a clipped planchet. Can you post front and back photos, as well as the clipped section on edge, please. Coin looks to be in fairly decent condition.

Yes sir, ill get those pics up in the coin section.

There is considerable detail in Kennedy's hair detail for a clipped planchet. Also the rim near Kennedy's left face is oddly smoother below the level of the rim. I would expect some additional detail of Kennedy's hair details to be present from a coin missing perhaps 10% of the rim, as the pressure of the strike would go into more detail of the hair and face.

Was hoping to see a complete reverse to compare strike impression there too.

I have a clipped '71 also, although I don't remember if it was a Denver MM. Found a few years ago CRH. I seem to remember the clip was more on the left side of the coin. The blanks will never be exactly aligned going into the press. Still have it, just not sure exactly where it is at the moment. I'll look soon and let y'all know if'n it's a Denver MM. Appreciate the estimated value. I'll probably do the same thing... it ain't nothing to me, but trade for common silver... now that's a plan I'll probably utilize.
