I'm new to the hobby of metal detecting and found my first silver coin today, a 1925 Mercury Dime, can't wait to return to the same spot and see what else I can find. I also found others coins but they were all clad. This was my fifth time hunting, I think i'm hooked already.

first of many once u see the shiny your hooked for life next your checking your change. but you know your hooked when u bring your detector with just to pick up milk at the store

nice find congrats happy hunting

I'm sure I won't leave home without it from now on. And I've been looking through my change for a couple years. So far lots of wheats and several silver dimes. I found a silver dime in a coinstar last week, the machine apparently spit it out and the person just left it in the tray.

Awesome, congrats!

Thanks, we like the Navy, they always gave us a ride on their boats whereever we were needed and the Docs that came along with us in the field were squared away and outstanding

Congratulations !!
Keep @ it and HH !!

Congratulations, hope you find many many more. I found mine two days ago at an old fair ground thats overgrown with trees, it was a 1906 silver Edward vii shilling. I know the feeling you can't beleive your eyes!
