Have been digging old beer cans and pull tabs all day. Finally went back to the field where I dug my first LC two days ago. Within 5-10 feet I dug another one. Haven’t cleaned it up enough to identify it yet but the last was a Braided hair Liberty.

Dug this about 30 minutes ago

Sure must be nice to find one of those!!! I hope you keep up the roll!!!

Man. Didn’t know what it was like until 2 days ago. Oldest coin until now was like a 1942 silver quarter.

This one appears to be 1856. Will post a cleaned picture soon

Love the old coppers. congrats! :icon_thumleft:

Ok that’s enough :BangHead:

Sorry posted the same comment twice.

That...is a beautiful find. Love the braided liberty. What a great addition to your collection!

The LC was withdrawn from circulation in 1857 so your coin only circulated a year. Should be some good detail left. Gary

Nice L.C. !

From what I've seen - if there was two on the site - there could be more !

Congrats it's always a great day when you find a large cent. That one looks pretty decent compared to what I've seen come out of the ground! Nice work!

Congrats on that great looking Large Cent.

Very nice find!

Thanks and good to know. I only used a toothpick to clean it up. It was in considerably better shape than the 1st one I dug. It’s a shame for the first one, looked like the date may have been 1821

That’s a nice one! Pound that spot, low and slow, listen for the high tone squeak. Congrats

Great finds! I have never found one of those yet but they are on my wish list

You’ll find one. I’ve been at it hard for a couple of weeks now due to all of the covid-19 restrictions.
